Qurbani 2018

Global Aid is actively working to reach out to the poor and needy people in many countries in this time of Qurbani in order to help them to enjoy the blessing of Eid-ul-Adha. There are numerous people in the Middle Eastern war-torn countries who are living in dire conditions. Many of them are women, children and elderly who are highly vulnerable. Apart from war, famine is taking its tool in the East African countries. People are losing their livestock due to the droughts and ending up having nothing to eat or drink. They are in a desperate situation and need your support to enjoy Eid-ul-Adha.

Qurbani is an obligatory task for all Muslim individuals who are able to do it. It is to commemorate the rituals of Prophet Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) and Prophet Ismail (P.B.U.H) in an effort to show obedience to Allah (SWT). Qurbani meat is divided into three parts; one for the family, the other for the neighbour and the third portion for the poor. Muslims, thus, observe their religious duties by distributing meat of Qurbani among the poor, neighbours and relatives. But for those poor people who cannot afford to do Qurbani or buy meat, Global Aid helps them out through distributing aid and Qurbani meat. Every year, Global Aid choses only the highest quality animals for Qurbani in various countries and helps the needy by distributing meat among them. It does so in following the teachings of Prophet (pbuh) who said:

“None of you will have faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” [Bukhari]

The occasion of Eid-ul-Adha and Qurbani thus reminds us about our responsibilities to our fellow neighbours and the poor. Through observing this religious duty, Muslims reinforces the ideas of global Muslim brotherhood and one nation which is mentioned in the Quran as Ummah Wāhidah where everyone is equal and deserves a better life. Qurbani gives us the perfect opportunity to practice this idea of one nation through standing by the fellow Muslims in need.

Your Qurbani donations (Qurbani 2018) made a huge difference in the past and hope it will do the same in this year as well.

Your donations will help to ensure that families and individuals who are struggling to make living are not forgotten. So please do not wait; make your donations today.
