Eye Cataract and House Building Project

Please donate
Assalamu alaikum. Bangladesh is a developing country, 90% of the population lives in rural areas with minimum facilities. Blindness is a huge burden nationally. About 80% of the curable blindness is due to cataract, of them 75% lives in rural areas where no facilities available for cataract operation apart from just a few NGO led eye hospitals in a few areas. Global Aid Trust(GAT) from its launching in 2009 is trying hard to cure blindness for the poor people by doing cataract operations every year under it’s Gift of Sight project. One very important privilege is that the current chairman of GAT is an eye specialist in the UK. He goes to Bangladesh every year with another eye surgeon from the UK to do cataract operations for the poor people and almost UK standard operations are being done for the most of the people. GAT also arranges rural eye camps and treat thousands of people along with giving appropriate glasses accordingly. This is a huge project of GAT which needs your generous supports. If the key person of a family is blind then the whole family suffers a lot in various ways. The world is so beautifully created by Allah SWT but sadly a blind person can’t enjoy! This pain is beyond imagination! Just your little help can bring a beautiful smile to those deprived. Please donate as much as you can. Your little gift will be a huge gift for them.
In Bangladesh, almost 1 million people are blind out of a population of 100 million. Almost 50,000 of those who are blind are under the age of 15 but many of those who are now blind could have been cured with one simple operation to remove their cataracts. Only £60 can cure a blind person.
